Checking the air filter element
1. Remove the air filter element.
2. Check the following:
- When was the last filter element change?
- Is the filter element dirty, damaged or deformed?
- Is the air filter housing sufficiently sealed?
- Is the air filter element installed correctly?
3. If any defects are found, replace the air filter element with a new one.
Throttle Body Check (Gas engine)
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Disconnect the throttle body connector.
3. Measure the resistance between terminals E and F of the throttle body connector.
Note: Throttle body resistance: 1.38 ohm.
4. If the measured value is not correct, replace the throttle body with a new one.
Check valve check
Air flow check
1. Remove the vacuum hose.
2. Use your mouth to blow into the vacuum hose from the vacuum pump side and check that the air comes out from the intake manifold side. Then blow on the intake manifold side and make sure no air escapes from the vacuum pump side.
check valve
Check valve diesel engine
3. If the non-return valve is defective, replace it together with the vacuum hose (Gas engine) or separately (diesel engine).
Checking the intercooler (diesel engine)
1. Remove the intercooler (intercooler) from the car.
2. Plug port A.
3. Apply compressed air through port B and check the intercooler for leaks. If air leaks are found through the intercooler, replace it with a new one.
