Replacing the left transfer case oil seal (Mazda CX-5KE)

1. Drain the transfer case oil.

2. Remove the transfer case from the vehicle.

3. Insert a flat-head screwdriver wrapped with electrical tape into the edge of the oil seal as shown in the figure and remove the oil seal.



4. Using a mandrel and a hammer, press in the new seal.


5. Apply fresh transfer case oil to the seal lips.

6. Install the transfer case on the vehicle.

7. Fill the transfer case with oil.
