Replacing the right oil seal No. 2 of the transfer case (Mazda CX-5KE)

1. Drain the transfer case oil.

2. Remove the right front drive shaft.

3. Remove the right oil seal No.1 of the transfer case.

4. Insert a flat-head screwdriver wrapped with electrical tape into the edge of the right oil seal No.2, as shown in the figure, and remove the oil seal.



5. Using a mandrel and a hammer, press in the new seal.



6. Apply fresh transfer case oil to the seal lips.

7. Install the right oil seal No.1 of the transfer case.

8. Install the right front drive shaft.

9. Fill the transfer case with oil.
