- On the front wheels, slightly more wear on the side of the working surface in relation to the middle is normal, and due to the inclination of the carriageway, wear on the edge of the tire closest to the middle of the road (left wheel: outer edge, right wheel: inner edge) expressed more clearly. Uneven tire wear is primarily caused by too low or too high tire pressure and can be caused by misalignment or imbalance, or bad shock absorbers or discs.
- Sawtooth tire wear is usually caused by too much stress on the vehicle.
- First of all, you need to follow the prescribed tire pressure, this check should be done at least once every four weeks. Check pressure only when tires are cold. When heated, tire pressure increases when driving fast. It is absolutely wrong to reduce the pressure in hot tires.
- If the pressure is too high, the middle of the running surface wears out more, as the tires are more convex due to the high pressure.
- If the pressure is too low, the side parts of the working surface wear out more, the middle bends more inward.
- Incorrect wheel alignment and imbalance give a peculiar wear pattern, which is indicated in the troubleshooting.
