Removal



Disconnect the negative cable from the battery with the ignition off.

Note: This will erase the data from the electronic memory blocks. See instructions in Chapter. "Electrical equipment".


Remove the gear shift knob. To remove the automatic transmission selector knob, unscrew one screw.

Unhook the gearshift lever boot and pull it up. Pull off the plug for the automatic transmission lighting.

Remove two plugs (1).


Remove two plugs (1).

Unscrew the four bolts (2), having first pryed off the protective caps.

Use a small screwdriver to pry up the trunk lid release switch and remove the plug. To avoid damaging the console, place a piece of paper under the screwdriver.



Remove the middle console.

Installation



Insert the middle console and secure it with bolts. Put protective caps on the bolts.

Place the plug on the trunk lid release switch and insert the switch into the console.

Secure the gearshift/selector lever boot. Before doing this, put the plug on the selector.

Place the gear shift knob on and secure it with the screw if necessary.

Connect the negative cable to the battery.

Set the clock readings and enter codes if necessary.
