When the rear window heating is turned on, the section with the heating threads should be free of ice and dew after some time.

If there is a malfunction, you must first check the fuse in the fuse box.

If the fuse is OK, then you need to check the tightness of the wire plugs on the right and left on the rear window and, if necessary, clean the connections from corrosion.

If the rear window defroster still does not work.

1. Damaged wire; 2. Adhesive tape; 3. The section being repaired.

1. Damaged wire; 2. Adhesive tape; 3. The section being repaired.

If the filaments are damaged, use a special conductive silver paste to restore the connection. Clean the repaired area with solvent or alcohol.

Cover the damaged area with adhesive tape and apply the paste with a thin brush.

The paste dries for about 24 hours at a temperature of 25°C. You can speed up the drying process by heating the repair site with a hair dryer. At +150°C the paste dries for about 30 minutes.

Caution: Do not turn on the rear window heating until the paste is completely dry. Do not use gasoline or other mineral solvents to clean damaged parts.
