If the speed of the turn signals on one side is faster than on the other side, then one of the lamps on the "fast" side is not working or the wire is broken.
For all other faults, the main cause is the turn signal relay. The contact designation on the turn signal relay is usually as follows:
- Contact 31 - "ground".
- Contact 49 - relay input (positive voltage is constantly supplied), contact 49a - relay output.
- An additional wire goes to the indicator light on the instrument panel; if there is a towing hitch, there is another wire for the indicator light of the trailer turn signals.
If you don't have a new relay, carefully insert a thin wire between contacts 49 and 49a in the relay socket.
Caution: Do not damage the sensitive relay contacts. Bend the ends of the wires so that sharp edges do not stick out. Insert the faulty turn signal relay back. The wire should be such that the relay can be inserted into place.
Turn on the ignition. If you now turn on the turn signal lever, the turn signals will light constantly. By turning the turn signal lever on and off, you can simulate the flashing of the lamps.

If the turn signals do not light up despite the relay contacts being shorted, the turn signal lever or electrical wires are faulty.
