Wheel Angle Adjustment
1. Loosen the locknuts of the tie rod ends.
2. Remove the anthers of the steering gear.
3. Rotate the tie rod ends on both sides of the vehicle an equal number of turns to obtain the correct maximum steering angle.
Note: Standard length L: 10.1-23.1mm.
4. Tighten the locknuts of the tie rod ends to 69-98 Nm.
5. Make sure that the boots are not twisted and install them.
6. After adjusting the angle of rotation of the wheels, adjust the toe-in.
Adjustment of a convergence of forward wheels
1. Loosen the locknuts of the tie rod ends.
2. Remove the anthers of the steering gear.
3. Adjust the total toe-in by turning both tie rod ends (left and right) in opposite directions for the same number of revolutions.
Note:
- The toe-in changes by approximately 4 mm for one wheel per turn of the tie rod end.
- Both tie rod ends are right hand threaded. To increase the toe-in of the wheels, turn the right tip towards the front of the car, and the left one - towards the rear of the car.
4. Tighten the tie rod end locknut to 69-98 Nm.
5. Make sure that the boots are not twisted and install them.
Adjustment of a convergence of back wheels
1. Loosen the adjusting cam bolt nut.
2. Turn the adjusting cam bolt in the desired direction to adjust the rear wheel toe.
3. Tighten the nut to 84-101 Nm.
