2. Remove the decorative engine cover.
3. Remove the air filter with air duct and air intake assembly.
4. Unscrew the bolts and nut and disconnect the connector shown in the figure. Move electrical wiring to the side.
5. Remove the battery from the shelf.
6. Disconnect the earth cables shown in the figure.
Right side

7. Remove in one piece the inlet and outlet pipes and hoses of the turbocharger with the intercooler (intercooler).
8. Drain the coolant from the engine.
9. Drain gear oil (versions with manual transmission) or automatic transmission fluid (versions with automatic transmission).
10. Disconnect the transmission control cable.
11. Versions with manual transmission: remove the clutch slave cylinder without disconnecting the pipelines from it.
12. Disconnect the brake booster vacuum hose.
13. Disconnect the main fuel hose and fuel return hose #1.
14. Disconnect the upper radiator hoses.
15. Disconnect the heater hose.
16. Remove the front wheels from the car.
17. Remove the front protective pallets No. 1 and No. 2.
18. Remove the mudguard.
19. If equipped, disconnect the automatic transmission fluid hose from the oil cooler.
20. Disconnect the lower radiator hose.
21. Remove the outlet hose of the intercooler (intercooler).
22. Remove the right front fender liner to the side.
23. Remove the outlet pipe of the intercooler (intercooler).
24. Remove the attachment drive belt.
25. Remove the air conditioning compressor without disconnecting the pipelines from it, and hang it on the body with a rope or wire away from work.
26. Unscrew the fastening nuts of the middle exhaust pipe (from the catalytic converter) and fix the middle exhaust pipe to the body with a rope or wire away from work.
27. Versions with all-wheel drive (4WD): Remove propshaft.
28. Disconnect the left front drive shaft from the transmission side and set aside.
29. Disconnect the right front drive shaft from the transmission side and set aside.
30. Unscrew the fixing bolts and remove the bracket plate.
31. Loosen the set screw (from the side of the subframe) No. 1 engine mount pad shown.
Versions with front wheel drive only (2WD)
Versions with all-wheel drive (4WD)
32. Remove the front subframe assembly with the engine mount pad No. 1 (see chapter "Suspension").
33. Remove the engine control unit with wiring to the side:
- Disconnect the engine control unit connector (140 pins).
- Loosen the bolt and disconnect the connector shown in the figure, and remove the wiring towards the top of the engine.
Loosen the bolt shown in the figure and put aside the engine control unit with the connector connected.
34. Remove the electrical wiring bracket shown in the figure.
35. Remove the sealing plate installed at the bottom of the oil pan.
Attention. While maintaining the power unit, insert a suitable size rubber (about 20 mm thick) between the engine lift and the oil pan/transmission to prevent deformation of the oil pan or damage to the transmission.
36. Fix the engine with the gearbox on a special engine lift.
37. Remove the #4 engine mount bracket.
38. Remove the #3 engine mount.
39. Having raised the car with a lift, roll out the power unit from under the car.
Attention.
- Make sure all connections and connectors are disconnected from the engine.
- Make sure that when lowering from the engine compartment, the power unit does not cling to various pipelines, hoses and wires.
