Removal
Note: For vehicles with air conditioning, the refrigerant circuit must be opened to remove the fan (in the workshop).
Disconnect the negative cable from the battery with the ignition off.
Caution: This will erase the data from the electronic memory units. See the instructions in the chapter "Electrical equipment".

Remove the expansion tank of the cooling system. To do this, unscrew the bolt (1) and remove the expansion tank from the other side of the jumper (2).

Remove the sealing rubber.
Unhook the fuse box cover and remove it.

Unscrew the two screws on the cover on the engine compartment partition.

Unscrew two bolts (1).
Disconnect the plug (2).
Pry the two clips out of the cover on the engine compartment bulkhead.

On the right side of the partition, unscrew the screw (1).
Disconnect the windshield washer hoses (2).

Loosen the mounting screws and remove the filter housing for the air entering the passenger compartment.

Loosen the screws and remove the fan motor cover.

Unscrew two bolts.
Disconnect the plug in the front passenger footwell.
Remove the fan motor.
Installation
Insert the fan motor and lightly tighten its mounting bolts (torque 3 Nm).
Install the fan motor cover and secure it with screws.
Install the intake air filter housing and tighten the mounting screws to 5 Nm.
Insert the cover onto the engine compartment bulkhead, secure with screws and two clamps.
Install the windshield washer hoses.
Connect the plug.
Install the fuse box cover.
Install the sealing rubber on the engine compartment bulkhead cover.
Attach the expansion tank to the holder and secure with a bolt.
Connect the plug in the driver's footwell.
Connect the negative cable to the battery.
Set the clock readings and enter security codes if necessary.
Especially for Ford KA
To gain access to the fan, remove the power steering reservoir. To do this, unscrew the two bolts, pull the reservoir forward and set it aside. The hoses remain connected.
Removing the filter housing for the air entering the cabin and the fan is done in the same way as for the Ford Fiesta/Mazda 121.
