Wheels and tires — general information (Mazda 121 (3))

Depending on the model and configuration of the car, tires and wheel disks of different sizes can be installed on it. In addition to the width and diameter of the disk, an important parameter is the pressing depth. This is the distance from the middle of the disk to the surface where the wheel disk meets the brake disk.

All disks are deep disks with a hump. A hump is a protrusion pressed into the landing shelf of the disk, which does not allow the tubeless tire to be pressed off the disk (rim) even during sharp turns.

Warning: Do not use tyres with a tread depth of less than 1.6 mm. For safety reasons, it is therefore recommended to replace summer tyres with 2 mm tread depth and winter tyres with 4 mm tread depth.
