When choosing tires, pay attention to the marking. Geometric dimensions, load capacity and maximum speed must strictly comply with the manufacturer's recommendations. The landing diameter of the selected tire must correspond to the landing diameter of the disk.

Note: () - at maximum vehicle load.

There are several types of tires: road, universal (all season), winter, high cross-country ability.

The type of tires is selected based on operating conditions.

Tire sizes.

Tire sizes.
D - outer diameter,
d - wheel rim seat diameter,
H - tire profile height,
W - profile width.

When replacing tires, use only tires of the same size and design as the recommended tires for your vehicle and with the same or greater load capacity.

The use of tires of any other size or type can seriously affect handling, comfort, speedometer/odometer accuracy, ground clearance, economy, the distance between the body and the tire or snow chain.

Warning: Do not mix radial and bias tires. This may cause dangerous vehicle behavior, leading to loss of control.

The marking may contain one of the following designations:

175 - nominal profile width, expressed in millimeters. This size is specified by the manufacturer.

Note: in the marking of American-made tires, the conventional section width is expressed in inches. For example, a possible marking is 7.50R16-6PRLT, where the conventional section width is 7.50 inches.

60 - the ratio of the height of the tire profile to its width, expressed as a percentage (%), 60 - the ratio of the height of the tire profile to its width, expressed as a percentage (%),

If this designation is absent, the ratio is 0.80...0.82.

This size is selected based on the table "Correspondence of tire sizes to wheel disk parameters and tire pressure" and must correspond to the tire size recommended by the manufacturer. R - designation of a radial tire; B - designation of a diagonal tire. Radial and diagonal tires differ in the arrangement of the cord threads. Radial tires have lower rolling resistance and a longer service life compared to diagonal tires.

14 - tire seat diameter, expressed in inches. This size is selected based on the table "Correspondence of tire sizes to wheel disk parameters and tire pressure" and must correspond to the tire size recommended by the manufacturer.

79 - conditional load-carrying capacity index. It is selected based on the table "Tire load-carrying capacity indices".

B - tire speed index. It is selected based on the table "Tire speed indices".
