2. Incorrect selection of wheels and tires can adversely affect handling, wheel and bearing life, brake cooling, speedometer/odometer accuracy, braking distance, headlight direction, bumper height, ground clearance, and tire-to-body clearance.

Depending on the type of tires, the following disks are installed, as indicated in the table "Correspondence of tire sizes to wheel disk parameters and tire pressure".
Table. Correspondence of tire sizes to wheel disk parameters and tire pressure.
As an example, here is a possible marking:
5.5JJx14H2 ET45 4H PCD100 DIA54
In wheel disk markings, the first digits "5.5" indicate the rim width (H), expressed either in millimeters or inches. The letters "JJ" indicate the rim shape. The next number "14" indicates the wheel disk seat diameter (D) in inches, which must match the seat diameter of the tire being installed. The number "45" after the letters ET indicates the disk offset (ET) in millimeters.
The marking also includes the following designations: "H" or "H2" means the presence of one or two annular projections on the rim, "4H" means the number of holes for mounting bolts or studs, the numbers after the designation "DIA" are the diameter of the central hole, "PCD" is the diameter of the location of the holes for mounting bolts or studs.
