The procedures for checking the coolant level and replacing it are described in Chapter "Maintenance and general check and adjustment procedures".

Checking for coolant leaks



1. Check the coolant level.

2. Remove the radiator cap.

3. Attach the cooling system leak tester to the radiator filler neck.

Caution: Wait until the pressure in the cooling system drops to zero before removing the radiator cap or cooling system leak tester.

4. Create pressure in the radiator.

Note: Creating pressure in the cooling system above 122 kPa (1.25 kg/cm²) may cause damage to cooling system components and coolant leaks.

5. Make sure the pressure does not drop. If the pressure drops, check the system for leaks.
