Checking the tie rod end



1. Check the tie rod end for damage and the boot for cracks. If any defects are found, replace the tie rod end with a new one.

2. Check for excessive play. If a fault is found, replace the tie rod end with a new one.

3. Turn the tie rod end five times.

4. Install two nuts on the ball joint and measure the torque of the tie rod end using a torque wrench. If the measured value is not within the norm, replace the tie rod end with a new one.

Note: The torque of the steering rod end: 0.5-2.1 Nm.

1. Check the steering rod for deformation or damage. If any defects are found, replace the steering rod with a new one.

4. Measure the steering rod swing moment using a dynamometer. If the obtained value does not correspond to the norm, replace the steering rod.
