Removal

Mark the position of the lock rod (1) by tracing around the rod with a felt-tip pen.
Unscrew the two Torx bolts (2) with a special key and remove the rod.
Installation
Place the lock rod and secure it lightly with two bolts.
Align the lock rod in accordance with the marks made earlier and tighten its mounting bolts to a torque of 10 Nm.
Open and close the door to check that the lock rod is in the correct position.

If necessary, loosen the bolts slightly, carefully close the door and thus move the lock rod to the correct position. Then carefully open the door and tighten the bolts.
Note: The rear of the front door must be close to the front of the rear door, if necessary it can protrude outwards by no more than 1 mm. Under no circumstances should the rear of the front door protrude inwards. The same applies to the rear of the door relative to the body.
