Diagnostics of faults of the petrol injection system
Before performing diagnostics of faults, it is necessary to fulfill the following prerequisites: exclude errors when starting the engine. The following rule applies to both a cold and a warm engine: do not give "gas" before starting and during starting. With a hot engine, after starting it, it may be necessary to give "gas" a little.
There should be fuel in the tank, the engine should be mechanically in order, the battery should be charged, the starter should turn the engine over at the correct speed, the ignition system should be in order, the fuel system should be free of leaks and contamination, the crankcase ventilation system should be in order, there should be an electrical connection by ground between the engine, gearbox and body. Interrogate the diagnostic device in the engine control unit (in the workshop).
Caution: The fuel system is under pressure. Fuel may spray out when disconnecting the fuel lines. Use a rag to collect it. Clean the fuel line connections before disconnecting.
