Note: Write down the key number and keep it in a safe place. If you lose the key, a duplicate can be made by your Mazda dealer using the number.

(Type 2) To open the key, press the button as shown in the figure.

To remove the key, press and hold the button and fold the key.

2. To unlock/lock the driver's door and front passenger door from the outside, insert the key into the door lock and turn it forward/backward.

From the inside, the doors are opened in the following way: move the door lock button back and to the "Unlock" position, pull the door opening handle and open the door.

The front doors can be locked from the outside without a key. To do this, pull the door handle and, while holding it, move the door lock button to the "Lock" position and close the door.
To close the rear side doors, move the door lock button to the "Lock" position and close the door. There is no need to hold the door handle.
3. (Models with central locking) When the driver's door is unlocked or locked with the key, all side doors are automatically unlocked/locked.
Note: When unlocking the doors with the key, the interior light will turn on if the switch on the interior light is set to the "DOOR" position.
At the same time, when the driver's door is locked with the key or the lock button, all doors are locked. The turn signals will flash once and the anti-theft system will be activated.
Note: If one of the doors or the hood is not fully closed when the driver's door is locked, the direction indicators will not flash.
4. (Models with remote door lock control system) Some models are equipped with a remote control central locking system. Unlocking and locking of the side doors is carried out by pressing a button on the remote control central locking.
The distance to the vehicle should be no more than 2.5 m.

Note: The remote keyless entry system will not operate if the ignition key is in the ignition switch, any door is not closed properly, or the transmitter battery is dead. The battery replacement procedure is described in Chapter "Body electrical equipment".
a) When you press the "Lock" button, the side doors are automatically locked. The direction indicators will flash once.
b) When you press the "Unlock" button, all doors are automatically unlocked so that the doors can be opened from both the outside and the inside. The direction indicators will flash twice.
