Note: Water and foreign materials entering the sensor connector may cause corrosion or contact loss. Do not allow water and foreign materials to enter the sensor connector.


Removal and installation



1. Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery.

2. Disconnect the speed sensor connector.

3. Remove the speed sensor.

3. Remove the speed sensor.

4. Apply oil to the new O-ring and install the seal onto the sensor.

5. Install the speed sensor.
  • Tightening torque - 8 - 11 Nm

6. Connect the connector to the speed sensor.

7. Connect the cable to the negative terminal of the battery.

Examination



1. Remove the speed sensor.

2. Rotate the sensor gear using a voltmeter to measure the voltage at the sensor terminals.
  • Voltage - 5V

Voltage - 5V


If the voltage is normal, then the sensor is working properly and it is necessary to check the sensor wiring.



If the voltage is not normal (the voltmeter needle does not move when checked), replace the sensor.

3. Install the speed sensor.
