Note:
  • After the vehicle has reached 180,000 km or 144 months of service, continue to perform maintenance in accordance with the established schedule and frequency.
  • Based on the results of visual inspection or instrumental testing of the vehicle systems' operation, the necessary maintenance operations (adjustment, cleaning or replacement - in accordance with the requirements of the maintenance regulations) must be performed. (Check the condition and replace the air cleaner filter element if necessary.)

Exhaust gas aftertreatment system and related engine systems

The ignition system and fuel supply system play a very important role in terms of neutralizing harmful emissions into the atmosphere and ensuring efficient engine operation. It is prohibited to interfere with the design of the above engine systems.

All engine system checks and adjustments should only be performed at an authorized Mazda dealer.

Note:
  • "P" - check and, if necessary, clean, repair, adjust, top up or replace.
  • "3" - replace.
  • "T" - tighten.

*1 In addition, it is necessary to check the condition and tension of the air conditioning compressor drive belt (if present in the vehicle).

If the vehicle is operated under at least one of the following conditions, the condition of the drive belts must be checked every 20,000 km or every 12 months:
  • a) high dustiness of the air;
  • b) prolonged engine idling or prolonged vehicle movement at low speed;
  • c) prolonged operation at low air temperatures or regular trips only over short distances (when the engine does not have time to warm up to normal operating temperature);
  • d) operating the vehicle at very high air temperatures;
  • d) constant operation of the vehicle in hilly and mountainous areas.

*2 If the car is operated in the listed countries, it is additionally necessary to check the condition of the spark plugs every 10,000 km or after 12 months of operation: Croatia, Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, Bulgaria, Romania, Albania, Moldova, Latvia, Ukraine.

*3 If the vehicle is operated in conditions of high air dustiness, the air filter should be cleaned periodically and, if necessary, replaced more often than indicated in the table. Consult an authorized Mazda dealer service station.

*4 If the vehicle is operated under at least one of the following conditions, the engine oil and oil filter must be replaced every 10,000 km or more often:
  • a) high dustiness of the air;
  • b) prolonged engine idling or prolonged vehicle movement at low speed;
  • c) prolonged operation at low air temperatures or regular trips only over short distances (when the engine does not have time to warm up to normal operating temperature);
  • d) operating the vehicle at very high air temperatures;
  • d) constant operation of the vehicle in hilly and mountainous areas.

*5 If the radiator cap is marked "FL22" on or near the radiator cap, then use FL22 coolant. When replacing the engine cooling system coolant, use the FL22 brand of fluid.

*6 If the vehicle's brakes are operated under heavy load (for example, with a dynamic driving style, when operating a car in mountainous areas) or in very high humidity conditions, the brake fluid should be replaced annually.

*7 If the vehicle is operated under at least one of the following conditions, it is necessary to replace the transmission oil in the rear axle main gear every 45,000 km:
  • a) towing a trailer or using a roof rack;
  • b) operation of the vehicle in conditions of increased dustiness, on polluted or wet roads;
  • c) prolonged engine idling or prolonged vehicle movement at low speed;
  • d) regular short-distance car trips (up to 16 km).

*8 If this transmission unit is completely or partially immersed in water, the oil in it must be changed immediately.

*9 It is recommended to perform periodic wheel rotation every 10,000 km.

*10 Check the expiration date of the tire repair kit every time you service your vehicle. The sealant bottle should be replaced with a new one before its expiration date.

  • "C" - to lubricate.

*1 In addition, it is necessary to check the condition and tension of the air conditioning compressor drive belt (if present in the vehicle). If the vehicle operation is characterized by at least one of the following conditions, it is necessary to check the condition of the accessory drive belts every 7,500 km or every six months:
  • a) high dustiness of the air;
  • b) prolonged engine idling or prolonged vehicle movement at low speed;
  • c) long-term operation at low ambient temperatures or regular trips over short distances only (when the engine does not have time to warm up to normal operating temperature);
  • d) operating the vehicle at very high air temperatures;
  • d) constant operation of the vehicle in hilly and mountainous areas.

*2 If the vehicle is operated under any of the following conditions, the engine oil and oil filter must be replaced every 7,500 km or six months:
  • a) high dustiness of the air;
  • b) prolonged engine idling or prolonged vehicle movement at low speed;
  • c) prolonged operation at low air temperatures or regular trips only over short distances (when the engine does not have time to warm up to normal operating temperature);
  • d) operating the vehicle at very high air temperatures;
  • d) constant operation of the vehicle in hilly and mountainous areas.

*3 If the vehicle is operated under at least one of the following conditions, the engine oil must be changed every 2,500 km or every three months:
  • a) high dustiness of the air;
  • b) prolonged engine idling or prolonged vehicle movement at low speed;
  • c) prolonged operation at low air temperatures or regular trips only over short distances (when the engine does not have time to warm up to normal operating temperature);
  • d) operating the vehicle at very high air temperatures;
  • d) constant operation of the vehicle in hilly and mountainous areas.

*4 If the vehicle is operated under at least one of the following conditions, the oil filter must be replaced every 5,000 km or every six months of vehicle operation:
  • a) high dustiness of the air;
  • b) prolonged engine idling or prolonged vehicle movement at low speed;
  • c) long-term operation at low ambient temperatures or regular trips over short distances only (when the engine does not have time to warm up to normal operating temperature);
  • d) operating the vehicle at very high air temperatures;
  • d) constant operation of the vehicle in hilly and mountainous areas.

*5 If the radiator cap is marked "FL22" on or near the radiator cap, then use FL22 coolant. When replacing the engine cooling system coolant, use the FL22 brand of fluid.

*6 If the vehicle is operated in conditions of high dust content in the air, clean the air cleaner filter element every 7,500 km or every six months of vehicle operation.

*7 If the vehicle's brakes are operated under heavy load (for example, with a dynamic driving style, when operating a car in mountainous areas) or in very high humidity conditions, the brake fluid should be replaced annually.

*8 If the vehicle operation is characterized by at least one of the following conditions, it is necessary to replace the transmission oil in the rear axle gearbox every 45,000 km:
