For traffic safety, correct headlight adjustment is of great importance. Precise headlight adjustment is only possible with a special adjustment device. In this regard, only where headlight adjustment can be carried out and what conditions must be met for correct adjustment are indicated here.

The tires must have the correct pressure.

The car must be fully filled. If the tank is only half full, then a load of about 30 kg·must be placed in the trunk.
In an unloaded vehicle, a person must sit in the driver's seat (weighing about 75 kg).

Place the car on a level surface.

Press the car down hard from the front and back several times or roll it for several meters to settle the suspension.

If there is, operate the headlight range adjustment system on the front panel several times and check its operation. Then set the adjustment knob to the "0" position.

The headlights should only be adjusted when the low beam is on. The tilt for a normal headlight is 12 cm per 10 m (1.2%).

Position of the adjustment screws:
  • 1 - height adjustment screw;
  • 2 - screw for lateral adjustment.

Note: Height adjustment with screw (1) affects lateral adjustment and vice versa.
