The engine cooling system is filled at the factory with a solution of water and antifreeze with anticorrosive additives. Antifreeze prevents freezing and corrosion in the cooling system and, in addition, increases the boiling point of the coolant. In this regard, the cooling system must contain a coolant with anticorrosive additives all year round.

Caution: For Ford and Mazda vehicles, use only Motorcraft Super Plus 4 antifreeze or antifreeze that meets Ford ESDM-97B49-A specification.


The correct ratio between antifreeze and water in the coolant is 1:1. In this case, the coolant remains non-freezing down to -35°C. The capacity of the cooling system is as follows:
