Normal oil consumption occurs due to the combustion of small amounts of oil in the cylinders and the removal of combustion products and particles formed by friction. In addition, oil is consumed due to high temperatures and high pressures that occur in the engine. Other operating characteristics, such as driving style, tolerances in the manufacture of parts, also affect oil consumption.
Oil consumption should not exceed 1.0 l per 1000 km.
Caution: Never fill the oil above the "MAX" mark. If too much oil is poured in, it must be removed. Otherwise, the catalytic converter may be damaged, as unburned oil will enter the exhaust system.
