Removal and installation of seat belts of forward seats
Attention:
- Improper handling of the front seat belts could accidentally activate the seat belt pretensioner and injure you (see chapter "Manual").
- Do not disassemble the seat belt pretensioner.
- Disconnect the negative battery cable before removing the seat belts.
1. Remove the lower finishes of the central pillars (see section "Interior trim").
2. Remove the covers from the top anchorage of the seat belt.
3. Turn away bolts of the top and bottom fastenings of a seat belt, fastenings of a pretensioner of a seat belt and remove a belt (see assembly drawing "Seat belts").
Seat belts.
1 - top mount cover,
2 - driver / front passenger seat belt,
3 - height adjuster of the seat belt attachment point,
4 - seat belt buckle,
5 - seat belts for rear passengers,
6 - locks of seat belts of seat belts of back passengers.
- Tightening torque - 39-78 Nm
4. Installation is made in an order, the return to removal.
Removing and installing rear seat belts
1. Remove rear pillar trims (see section "Interior trim").
2. Remove the cover from the top seat belt anchor.
3. Turn away bolts of the top and bottom fastenings of a seat belt, fastenings of a pretensioner of a seat belt and remove a belt (see assembly drawing "Seat belts").
- Tightening torque - 39-78 Nm
4. Installation is made in an order, the return to removal.
Removal and installation of locks of seat belts
Note: Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
Front seats
1. Disconnect a wire from the negative plug of the storage battery.
2. Remove the side trim of the front seat.
3. Turn away a bolt and remove the lock of a seat belt.
- Tightening torque - 39-78 Nm
Rear seats
1. Remove the seat cushion.
2. Turn away bolts and remove locks of seat belts.
- Tightening torque - 39-78 Nm
Seat Belt Check
1. Make sure the seat belt is installed correctly.
2. Check the seat belt for damage and deformation of metal parts. If there is damage, the belt must be replaced.
3. Make sure the seat belt can be pulled out freely.
4. Make sure the pretensioner locks the seat belt when the belt is quickly tensioned.
5. Remove the seat belt pretensioner.
6. Lock the retractor in its original position.
7. Tilt the pretensioner slowly.
8. Check that the pretensioner does not lock the seat belt when tilted 15°from its original position and that the seat belt locks when tilted 40°or more.
9. If the pretensioner does not work properly, then replace the seat belt assembly.
