Removal and installation front seat belts

Attention:

If the front seat belts are not used correctly, the seat belt pretensioner may accidentally activate and injure you (see chapter "User manual").

Do not disassemble the seat belt pretensioner.

Before removing the seat belts, disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal.

1. Remove the lower center pillar trims (see section "Interior trim").

2. Remove the covers from the upper seat belt mount.

3. Loosen the bolts of the upper and lower seat belt fastenings, the seat belt pretensioner fastenings and remove the belt (see the assembly drawing "Seat belts").

2 - driver/front passenger seat belt,
3 - height adjuster for seat belt attachment point,
4 - seat belt lock,
5 - rear passenger seat belts,
6 - rear passenger seat belt buckles.

Tightening torque - 39-78 Nm

4. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Removal and installation rear seat belts

1. Remove the rear pillar trims (see section "Interior trim").

2. Remove the cover from the upper seat belt mount.

3. Loosen the bolts of the upper and lower seat belt fastenings, the seat belt pretensioner fastenings and remove the belt (see the assembly drawing "Seat belts").

Tightening torque - 39-78 Nm

4. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Note: Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Front seats

1. Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery.

2. Remove the front seat side trim.

3. Loosen the bolt and remove the seat belt buckle.

Tightening torque - 39-78 Nm

Rear seats

1. Remove the seat cushion.

2. Loosen the bolts and remove the seat belt buckles.

Tightening torque - 39-78 Nm

Checking the seat belt

1. Make sure the seat belt is installed correctly.

2. Check the seat belt for damage and deformation of metal parts. If there is damage, the belt must be replaced.

3. Make sure the seat belt can be pulled out freely.

4. Make sure that the pretensioner locks the seat belt when the belt is quickly tightened.

5. Remove the seat belt pretensioner.

6. Fix the anti-pull device in its original position.

7. Slowly tilt the pretensioner.

8. Check that the pretensioner does not lock the seat belt when tilted 15° from its original position and that the seat belt locks when tilted 40° or more.
