Removal and installation



1. Turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" position.

2. Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal and wait at least 1 minute.

3. Remove the console (see chapter "Body").

4. Remove the passive restraint system control unit in the sequence of numbers shown in the figure.

5. Install in the reverse order of removal.

6. Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position.

7. Check that the SRS indicator comes on for about 6 seconds and then goes out. If the indicator does not come on, remains on, or flashes, the system is faulty. Perform diagnostics.
