Caution: If the disc of the combination stalk switch is deformed or contaminated with foreign materials, the performance of the steering angle sensor may be reduced, which will adversely affect the performance of the dynamic stability control system. When handling the contact disc, be careful not to deform the disc and make sure that no foreign materials come into contact with it.
1. Turn off the ignition.
2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait at least one minute.
3. Remove the driver's airbag module (see previous section).
4. Remove the steering wheel.
5. Remove the steering column cover.
6. Disconnect the contact disk connector.

7. Vehicles with steering angle sensor: Disconnect the steering angle sensor connector.
8. Press the clamps in the direction of the arrows in the figure and remove the contact disk.

9. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following:
Caution: If the contact disc is not adjusted, the twisted wire in the contact disc may be damaged due to excessive stretching when turning the steering wheel. Be sure to adjust the contact disc after installing it.
Set the front wheels to the straight-ahead position.
Turn the contact disk clockwise until it stops.

Caution: The contact disc may be damaged by excessive turning. Do not apply force to the contact disc.
Turn the contact disk counterclockwise approximately 2 turns.

Align the mark on the contact disk with the mark on the outer housing.

Note: After aligning the alignment marks, you can check the correctness of the adjustment by matching the guide with the viewing groove, as shown in the figure.

10. Check that the air bag indicator flashes for 6 seconds and goes out. If the air bag indicator does not come on, perform an on-board self-diagnosis check of the system using the M-MDS.
