Removal



Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.

Note: This will erase data from the electronic memory blocks, including the radio receiver's security codes.


Insulate the negative battery terminal to avoid accidental contact with ground.

Precautions: After disconnecting the cable from the battery, wait at least two minutes for the backup capacitor to discharge. This prevents unexpected activation of the airbag and seat belt tensioner.


Loosen the screws securing the upper steering column trim (1) and remove the trim.


Loosen the screws securing the upper steering column trim (1) and remove the trim.

Loosen the screws securing the lower steering column trim (2) and remove it.

Remove the screw securing the switch to the steering column.


Remove the screw securing the switch to the steering column.



Remove the plug from the steering column switch.


Remove the plug from the steering column switch.

Pull the switch on the steering column and remove it.


Pull the switch on the steering column and remove it.

Remove the turn signal relay from the steering column switch.


Remove the turn signal relay from the steering column switch.

Installation



Place the turn signal relay on the steering column switch and put on the plug.

Install the steering column covers and secure them with screws.


Install the steering column covers and secure them with screws.



Connect the negative cable to the battery.

Attention: No one should be in the car during this process.


Set the clock readings.

If necessary, enter the radio receiver security codes.
