Driving style has a significant impact on fuel consumption. Below are some techniques for careful handling of the gas pedal.
Start driving immediately after starting the engine, even in cold weather.
When stopping for more than 40 seconds, turn off the engine.
Move in the highest possible gear.
When driving long distances, move at a uniform speed, high enough, if possible. Move smoothly, and if possible, do not brake abruptly.
Do not overload the vehicle. If possible, remove all unnecessary components from the vehicle, such as the roof rack.
Always maintain correct tire pressure and do not allow it to drop.
