2. Remove the following parts:
- wiper arms and brushes (see chapter "Body electrical equipment");
- ventilation grill (see section "ventilation grille");
- interior rear view mirror (see section "Rearview mirror");
- sun visors (see section "Interior trim");
- interior lighting lamp (see chapter "Body electrical equipment");
- front pillar finishes (see section "Interior trim").
3. Bend the front edge of the roof trim away from the roof.
4. Before starting work, stick a protective tape on the contact surfaces of the car body and instrument panel.
1 - protective tape,
2 - upper molding,
3 - the edge of the molding.
5. Remove the windshield molding by pulling on the edge.
6. If the windshield will not be re-installed, cut off the glass-to-body adhesive using a special tool. Then remove the glass.
7. If the windshield is to be reinstalled, follow these procedures:
A) Using an awl on the inside of the car body, make a hole in the adhesive layer.
b) Pull the string through the hole.
1 - protective tape,
2 - string,
3 - upper molding,
4 - windshield,
5 - sealant,
6 - glue.
V) Fasten the ends of the string to wooden blocks.
G) Cut off a layer of glue around the entire perimeter of the glass.
Note:
- Use the full length of the string to avoid breaking the string when working;
- The string can hurt your hands, wear gloves.
8. Remove the windshield.
9. Remove the seal from the glass.
10. Remove the top and side moldings from the windshield.
