2. A layer of dirt may build up on the wiper blades, which will reduce their effectiveness. Therefore, brushes should be washed regularly with a mild detergent.
3. In addition, bolts, nuts and connectors may become loose, so when inspecting the wiper blades, they should be checked and tightened as necessary.
4. If the wiper blades have cracks, signs of wear or are deformed, replace the blades.

6. Remove the mounting bracket using needle-nose pliers and remove the brush (photo).

7. Insert the new brush and snap the mounting bracket into place.
8. Raise the release lever and insert the brush pin until it snaps securely into position.
9. Check the wiper arm nut to make sure it is tightly tightened (photo).
