2. A layer of dirt can build up on the wiper blades, which will reduce their effectiveness. Therefore, brushes should be washed regularly with a mild detergent.
3. Also, bolts, nuts and connectors can come loose, so when inspecting the wiper blades, they should be checked and tightened as necessary.
4. If the wiper blades are cracked, worn, or deformed, replace the wiper blades.
5. Pull the brush assembly away from the glass and remove the brush from the pin by lifting the release lever (photo).

6. Remove the mounting bracket with pointed pliers and remove the brush (photo).
Squeeze the wiper keys and remove the wiper lever
7. Insert a new brush and snap the mounting bracket into place.
8. Raise the release lever and insert the brush pin until it snaps securely into position.
9. Check the wiper arm nut to make sure it is tight (photo).
