Anti-theft system modes
Not active (Dead)
- The ignition key is in the "ON", "ACC" or "LOCK" position.
- The anti-theft system indicator does not light.
Initial setup
- The key is removed from the ignition switch (doors and hood are closed).
- The anti-theft system indicator does not light.

Arming 1 (Prearming 1)
- The key is removed from the ignition switch (any door or hood is open).
- The anti-theft system indicator does not light.

Arming 2 (Prearming 2)
- The key is removed from the ignition switch (the doors are closed but not locked and the hood is open).
- The anti-theft system indicator does not light.

Arming mode (Arming 1)
- The doors are locked and the hood is closed.
- The direction indicators should flash twice to confirm that the system is armed.
- The indicator will flash at 3 second intervals. The system is in the security mode.

Panic Mode 1 (Alarm 1)
- The door or hood is opened without using the key or the ignition switch circuit is closed. The siren sounds for 25 seconds and the turn signals flash for 4.5 minutes.
- The siren will sound again if you attempt to open or close the doors or hood without using the key for a period of 25 seconds to 4.5 minutes.

Panic Mode 2 (Alarm 2)
- The system enters this state 4.5 minutes after activation of the "Alarm 1" mode.
- When you try to open the door or hood, the system switches back to the "Alarm 1" mode.

Shutdown (Alarm Stop Phase)
To disable the anti-theft system and switch to the "Initial" mode, open the front door using the key.
