1. Some models are equipped with an electric sunroof. It is controlled by two switches on the overhead light switch box.
2. Significant experience is required to successfully repair or replace hatch parts. Any faults with this unit should only be repaired by a Mazda dealer or equivalent qualified person.
3. Keep the hatch guides free of dirt.
4. If the sunroof motor does not work at all, check the corresponding fuse and fusible link. The hatch can be opened and closed manually using a hex wrench as shown in the accompanying illustration. A suitable wrench is included in the vehicle's tool kit.
