Faulty wheel bearings can be identified by the following signs: noise when cornering; difficulty turning the wheel when the brakes are released. The wheel bearings sit so tightly in the steering knuckles that they can only be installed correctly with the help of special devices. This work is best done in a workshop. To replace a wheel bearing, you first need to remove the entire steering knuckle and push out the wheel hub.
