2. Drive the bearing races out of the hub using a blunt flat chisel or a hammer drill. Working from the center of the hub outwards, use the breakers to create a channel for the punch (photo).

3. Clean the bearing ring seat in the hub. Lightly lubricate the new ring, then insert or press it into place, making sure it is seated correctly. Also make sure the rings fit straight in - if they are allowed to tilt they may be damaged (photo).

4. Lubricate and install the bearings and seal, then install and adjust the hub - see Section 1, Chapter 27.
