1. Remove the hub/brake drum assembly (Section 1, Chapter 27).
2. Disconnect the brake hydraulic line from the wheel cylinder. Be prepared for fluid leakage.
3. Remove the four bolts that secure the drum brake shield to the steering knuckle mount. Remove the drum brake disc and place it to the side within the travel limited by the parking brake cable.
4. Unscrew the side joints, longitudinal balancer and strut/shock absorber from the axle mounting element. Now you can shine the steering knuckle fastener.
5. Assembly is carried out in reverse order. Additionally, it is necessary to bleed the brake hydraulic system, adjust the hub bearings and parking brake, and tighten various connectors with the tightening force specified Specification (when it is known).
