Removal and installation
Remove the air temperature sensor behind the evaporator (see section "Air conditioning unit").
Examination
1. Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Remove the air conditioner unit.
3. Remove the air temperature sensor behind the evaporator.
4. Connect the wire to the negative terminal of the battery.
5. Connect the connector to the coolant temperature sensor.
6. Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position.
7. Turn on the air conditioner.
8. Turn on the heater fan.
9. Place the sensitive part of the sensor in a container with cold water.
10. Check the operation of the electromagnetic clutch according to the table.
If operation is not as described, replace the evaporator air temperature sensor.
