Removal and installation



Remove the parts in the order they are numbered in the assembly drawing "Removing and installing the front suspension shock absorber".

1 - nut,
2 - bushing and washers,
3 - bolt, 4 - washer and nut,
5 - front suspension shock absorber.


Note: Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.


Installation Note

Tighten the shock absorber rod nut so that the distance from the surface of the nut to the surface of the stud is 6 - 8 mm.

Examination



1. Remove the front shock absorber from the vehicle.

2. Check the shock absorber for damage and leaks.



3. Check the rubber bushing for damage and wear.

4. Compress and stretch the shock absorber at least three times. Make sure that the resistance to movement does not change and there are no extraneous sounds.

a) Compress the shock absorber and release it.

b) Make sure the plunger comes out completely at normal speed.

Replace the shock absorber if necessary.
