2. Drain the coolant from the engine cooling system (see chapter "Maintenance and general inspection and adjustment procedures").
3. Remove the parts in the order they are numbered in the figure.
1 - guide tube of the oil dipstick assembly with dipstick,
2 - lower radiator hose,
3 - thermostat housing cover,
4 - thermostat.
4. Installation of parts during assembly is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
5. Fill the required amount of coolant into the cooling system and check for leaks (see chapter "Maintenance and general inspection and adjustment procedures").
Thermostat installation note
Install the thermostat into the thermostat cover by aligning the tab on the thermostat gasket with the slot on the thermostat cover.
Examination
Note: Replace the thermostat if its valve remains open at room temperature.
1. Make sure the thermostat valve is not clogged.
2. Immerse the thermostat and thermometer in water. Heat up the water gradually.
3. Check the thermostat for compliance with the following parameters. Replace thermostat if necessary.
- Opening start temperature 80-84°C
- Full opening temperature - 95°C
- Minimum valve lift - 8.5 mm
