Center console — removal and installation (Mazda Capella GE)

Removal

1. Disconnect the battery.



2. Remove the front panel from the center console.



3. Remove the gear shift lever cover.



4. Remove the handbrake lever cover.



5. Loosen the mounting screws (indicated by arrows) and remove the central shelf.





6. Remove the screws securing the console to the floor (indicated by arrows).



7. Remove the rear mounting screws (indicated by arrows).



8. Loosen the mounting screws (indicated by arrows) on the leading edge of the console.

9. Unscrew the side mounting screws (indicated by arrows) and remove the center console. Disconnect the connection connectors.

Installation

10. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
