1 - anthers; 2 - pistons; 3 - piston cuffs; 4 - caps; 5 - spring; 6 - rubber cap; 7 - bleed valve; 8 - steel ball
Removing
1. Remove the brake pads.
2. Remove the anthers with a screwdriver. Be careful not to damage the caps.
3. To take out both pistons with cuffs.
Attention! In this case, a little brake fluid may leak out, put a rag on it. Take out the spring.
4. To remove cuffs from pistons, at the same time not to damage pistons.
5. Wipe the inside of the cylinder with a clean cloth. The working surface must be free of grooves and rust; if necessary, replace the cylinder.
6. Clean all elements with alcohol or brake fluid. Observe the instructions for handling brake fluid.
Attention! Do not use a mineral oil based fluid such as gasoline or kerosene, otherwise the brake system may malfunction.
Installation
1. Unscrew the bleed valve, it is possible to replace it. Do not lose the steel ball while doing this.
2. If gaskets are replaced, be sure to use the entire repair kit.
3. Push the collars onto the pistons so that the sealing lips point in the direction of the liquid injection.
4. Coat both pistons and the working surface of the cylinder with a special lubricant for brake cylinders, for example, from the company AND THOSE.
Attention! Do not use the old lubricant, otherwise the brake fluid will be contaminated.
5. Insert the left piston into the wheel cylinder.
6. Insert the spring on the right and the right piston.
7. Put on anthers.
8. Install the brake shoes and brake drum.
9. Bleed the brake system. In this case, as a rule, it is enough to pump only the cylinder where the pipelines were opened. If after pumping the brake pressure floats, you should pump the entire system.
10. Depress the brake pedal strongly several times. This adjusts the rear brakes.
