Removal



Disconnect the negative cable from the battery with the ignition off. This will erase the data from the electronic memory units. See the instructions in Chapter "Electrical equipment".

Remove the door trim. Pull off the protective film in the area of the inner door handle, folding it down, and secure with adhesive tape.

Manual windows: Install the window handle. Power windows: Connect the negative cable to the battery and the electrical wires to the window motor.

Raise the glass fully.

Unscrew the bolts and remove the rear glass guide.

Lower the glass until you have access to the mounting bolts.

Unscrew the bolts securing the glass to the window regulator.



Lower the glass completely. At the same time, hold the glass at the top in the glass opening and guide it as it lowers.

Pry up the sealing rubber.

Fold the glass forward and remove it sideways from the door.

Installation



Carefully insert the glass into the door.

Raise the window regulator up and screw the two mounting screws into the window regulator bar, but do not tighten them.

Lower the glass completely and insert the sealing rubber into the glass groove.

Raise the glass all the way up.

Install the rear glass guide.

Lower the glass and then raise it all the way again. Align the glass by moving it left and right.

Lower the glass until both mounting bolts can be tightened through the holes in the door frame to a torque of 10 Nm.



Manual windows: Remove the window handle. Power windows: Disconnect the negative cable from the battery and disconnect the wires from the window motor.

Install door trim.

Connect the negative cable to the battery.

Set the clock readings and enter codes if necessary.
