Removal



Disconnect the negative cable from the battery with the ignition off.

Note: This will erase the data from the electronic memory blocks. See instructions in Chapter. "Electrical equipment".


Remove the boot lid trim. To do this, open the boot lid, unscrew the plastic bolt above the lock drive and pry up the sliding clamp with a screwdriver. Use your fingers to pry the trim around the circumference from the nine clamps.

Unscrew the nuts of the lock cylinder lining.

Turn the lock cylinder mounting ring counterclockwise to loosen it.

Disengage the lock cylinder from the drive rod by tilting the cylinder and turning it.

Remove the alarm system switch from the trunk lid. To do this, press the switch inward and fold it…

Remove the lock cylinder.

Installation



Check the lock cylinder seal for damage and cracks. The old seal must be replaced.

Insert the lock cylinder with seal into the trunk lid.

Attach the alarm system switch.

Attach the lock cylinder to the drive rod.

Press the lock cylinder and turn the fastening ring clockwise.

Install and secure the outer handle with bolts.

Install the trunk lid trim.

Connect the negative cable to the battery.

Set the clock readings and enter codes if necessary.
