1. Drain the oil from the front gearbox (see chapter "Maintenance and general check and adjustment procedures").

2. Remove the parts in the order they are numbered in the assembly drawing "Removing and installing the intermediate drive shaft assembly".

1 - drive shaft,
2 - vacuum hoses,
3 - front axle disconnect sensor connector,
4 - cotter pin,
5 - intermediate shaft assembled with front axle disconnect mechanism,
6 - toothed clutch,
7 - gearbox output shaft.


Note:
  • Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
  • After installation, fill the front gearbox with oil (see chapter "Maintenance and general check and adjustment procedures").
