2. Remove the parts in the order they are numbered in the assembly drawing "Removing and installing the intermediate drive shaft assembly".
Removal and installation the intermediate drive shaft assembly.
1 - drive shaft,
2 - vacuum hoses,
3 - front axle disconnect sensor connector,
4 - cotter pin,
5 - intermediate shaft assembled with front axle disconnect mechanism,
6 - toothed clutch,
7 - gearbox output shaft.
Note:
- Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
- After installation, fill the front gearbox with oil (see chapter "Maintenance and general check and adjustment procedures").
Note on removal
Remove the gearbox output shaft using an inertia hammer.
