Removal and installation of parts is carried out using the assembly drawing "Intermediate drive shaft assembly".

5 - intermediate drive shaft,
6 - bearing,
7 - retaining ring,
8 - spacer,
9 - hub of the front axle disconnect mechanism,
10 - retaining ring,
11 - anther,
12 - needle bearing,
13 - retaining ring,
14 - front axle disconnect mechanism.


Assembly Notes



1. Measure the clearance between the retaining ring and the bearing. If necessary, adjust the clearance by selecting the thickness of the adjusting washers.

  • The maximum allowable gap is 0.15 mm

Note:
  • do not install more than two adjusting washers;
  • adjusting washers are available in 0.15 thickness; 0,30; 0,35; 0,40; 0.50 mm.

2. Measure the clearance between the retaining ring and the hub of the front axle release mechanism. If necessary, adjust the clearance by selecting the thickness of the adjusting washers.
