Place one piece of protective tape above and below the strip. This will protect the paint when removing it. It will also make it easier to install the new strip.

Cut the glue joint between the strip and the body using a thin nylon cord (fishing line) and remove the strip. To make the work easier, wrap the cord around wooden blocks at both ends and slightly heat the strip with a hair dryer.

Please note: The adhesive bond for the factory grille emblem is released in the same manner.

Wash off any remaining glue with alcohol and dry the glue area.

Heat the new decorative strip with a hair dryer.

Remove the protective paper from the new strip. Align the strip and press it firmly against the body.

To improve the quality of adhesion, roll a wooden or plastic roller over the surface of the decorative strip.

Remove the protective tape.
