Checking fuel lines
Caution: Check all fuel line connections for moisture or stains that may indicate a fuel leak.
Replacing the fuel filter
1. Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Perform the procedures described in the subsection "Before carrying out repair work" in the chapter "Fuel injection system".
3. Remove the fuel filter in the sequence shown in the figure.
1 - connector,
2 - fuel hoses,
3 - manual fuel pump,
4 - fuel filter (P/N - WE01-13-ZA5A),
5 - water presence sensor,
6 - drain plug,
7 - sealing ring (P/N - R2L1-13-ZA7),
8 - seal (P/N - R2L1-13-ZA2).
4. Apply fuel to the sealing rubber ring of the new filter.

5. Install the fuel filter. After the filter sealing ring touches the housing, tighten the filter by hand by 3/4 of a turn.
6. Perform the procedures described in the chapter "Fuel injection system" section "After the repair work has been completed".
7. Remove air from the fuel system.
8. Check fuel lines and connections for leaks.
Note on installing the water presence sensor
1. Lubricate the sensor O-ring with fuel.
2. Install the sensor into the fuel filter and tighten it by hand.
Removal air from the fuel system
Caution: If the fuel tank has been repaired or other repair work has been performed during which the fuel has been completely drained from the fuel tank, or if the fuel has been completely used up during engine operation, then, in order to prevent air from entering the fuel system, it is recommended to pump fuel into the fuel lines using the manual priming pump located on the fuel filter before starting the engine.

Note: To prevent damage to the starter and battery, do not crank the crankshaft with the starter for more than 30 seconds and pause for 5-10 seconds before cranking again.
Rotate the crankshaft with the starter until the engine starts.
Removal water from the fuel system
Note: When the diesel engine is running, the fuel filter separates water from diesel fuel to prevent damage to fuel system components "Common Rail". When about 0.13 l of water accumulates in the fuel filter, the water in the fuel filter indicator lights up on the instrument cluster. The indicator informs the driver of the need to remove water from the fuel filter.

1. Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Follow the procedures described in the section "Before carrying out repair work" in the chapter "Fuel injection system".
3. Place a suitable container under the fuel filter.
4. Loosen the drain plug located on the bottom of the fuel filter one turn by hand.

5. Press the fuel pump with your hand to drain the water.
6. Tighten the drain plug.
