A) Apply some engine oil to the piston pin and into the piston boss bores.
b) Attach the piston pin to the piston on the side of the mark "F".
V) Assemble the connecting rod and piston group as shown in the figure.
G) Press the piston pin into the piston.
Note: If the piston pin enters the piston with a large interference, heat the piston to 50 - 70°C.
d) Install retaining rings.
2. Install piston rings.
Attention:
- Apply engine oil liberally during installation.
- Install the lower compression ring with the mark "R" up.
- Install the top compression ring with the tapered side up.
A) Install the expander and two oil ring scrapers.
b) Use a piston ring expander to install two compression rings.
V) Install the piston rings in the grooves so that their locks are located as shown in the figure.
1 - upper scraper of the oil scraper ring,
2 - compression ring No. 1,
3 - lower scraper of the oil scraper ring,
4 - oil scraper ring expander and compression ring No. 2.
G) Install the connecting rod and piston group so that the marks made on the pistons are directed forward.
3. Install the connecting rod bearing shells.
A) Align the lug of the bushing with the recess in the lower head of the connecting rod and with its cap.
b) Insert the bushings into the bottom end of the connecting rod and into the connecting rod cap.
