Note: Carrying out repairs without first removing the ABS wheel speed sensor may damage the sensor wiring. To prevent damage to the sensor or its wiring, remove the wheel speed sensor and secure it to the side before performing major repairs.
Removal and installation the front gearbox.
1 - drive shaft,
2 - vacuum hoses,
3 - different front axle disconnection sensor,
4 - front gearbox assembly with intermediate drive shaft,
5 - front gearbox.
1. Drain the oil from the gearbox (see chapter "Maintenance and general check and adjustment procedures"). Check the quality of the drained oil.
2. Disconnect the propeller shaft from the front gearbox (see chapter "Cardan shaft").
3. Remove the parts, following the figure "Removing and installing the front gearbox".
4. Install in the reverse order of removal.
5. After installation, fill the front gearbox with oil (see chapter "Maintenance and general check and adjustment procedures").
Notes on removal
1. Place a jack under the front gearbox.
2. Unscrew the bolts and nuts shown in the figure.
- Tightening torque - 107-131 Nm

3. Lower the jack and remove the front gearbox assembly with the intermediate drive shaft.
