1. Drain the oil from the rear axle gearbox (see chapter "Maintenance and general check and adjustment procedures"). Check the quality of the drained oil.

2. Disconnect the propeller shaft from the rear axle gearbox.

3. Remove the parts in the order they are numbered in the assembly drawing "Removal and installation the rear axle gearbox".

Note:
  • Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
  • After installation, fill the rear axle gearbox with oil (see chapter "Maintenance and general check and adjustment procedures").

Temporarily install the two gearbox mounting bolts. Using a copper hammer, detach the rear gearbox housing.

Loosen the temporarily installed bolts and remove the gearbox.

Removal and installation the rear axle gearbox.

Installation Note



1. Remove old sealant from the surfaces of the gearbox and rear axle housing.

2. Apply sealant to the bolts.

3. Apply sealant to the surface of the rear axle housing and install the gearbox. Tighten the bolts.
  • Tightening torque - 26 - 24 Nm

Note:
  • the gearbox must be installed within 10 minutes after applying the sealant.
  • you can add oil to the gearbox no earlier than 30 minutes after installation.
