Note: Install in the reverse order of removal.
Disassembly notes
Attention: to avoid damaging the parts, install special protective pads on the vice jaws.
1. Install the gearbox assembly on a special stand.
2. Mark the location of the bearing caps in the gearbox housing.

3. Mark the location of the adjusting nuts in the gearbox housing.

4. Remove the outer rings of the side bearings.
Note: To ensure proper assembly later, attach marks to the removed outer rings to indicate which side the ring was on.

5. Holding the connecting flange with a special tool, unscrew the adjusting nut of the drive gear.

6. Using a special puller, remove the drive gear connecting flange.

7. Using a slotted screwdriver, remove the oil seal.

8. Using a plastic hammer, knock the drive gear out of the gearbox housing.

9. Using a special tool, remove the rear bearing of the drive gear.

10. Using a brass rod and a hammer, remove the outer race of the guide bearing from the gearbox housing.

11. Using a copper rod and a hammer, knock out the pin securing the satellite axle.

12. Using a special puller, remove the side bearings from the differential housing.
Note: Mark right and left bearings.

13. Before removal, apply alignment marks to the final drive driven gear, differential housing and differential cups.
